Excellent for Small business
We are solving the expensive cost of gas because we can optimize the routes and plan better to avoid excess of gas expenses.
Pros
The OptimoRoute system is suitable for our small company and easy to use. It's a flexibility system with access to a mobile application. The customer service is excellent and since we began using Optimo Route, we have a considerable improvement in our deliveries of product.
Cons
Some times I can't plan the routes with all my drivers because it takes only 2 of them but is not a big deal. Maybe we have something to change in the profiles of the drivers.

There is a way to use both your drivers! Simply select the "Balancing" option under Planning Settings when you click the Plan Routes tab. You can choose the option to "Balance routes and use all drivers", and make other adjustments if you like. If you're still having trouble, write to our support team at [email protected] and they will take care of everything!

Great Program - Fantastic Team

The best of the many I have tried. Good, functional interface and rarely gives me any issue.

Easy and logical product. Well thought out. Great help when first starting off. Later state of using, the help was no longer required all is going well.
Cons
We are not able to plan with multiple depots within the country. We use over 40 different depot/shugards. It would be brilliant if we could add them to the routes.

Save Money using OptimoRoute
Implementing OptimoRoute streamlined our delivery process so much so we were able to reduce our dispatch employee from full-time to part-time. Saving on payroll. Needless to say the routing system is right on target, getting our driver in and around Manhattan in the most time efficient way.
Pros
OptimoRoute has helped us streamline our pick up and delivery service. We are a small business usually just sending out one truck a day that makes multiple stops.
The app continually updates delivery times throughout the day. We are able to track our driver without having to call. The app automatically sends out text to clients when delivery is on the way. So many other applications we love.
Cons
Although the program saves addresses, it does not save the contact/cell phone numbers. We figured out a workaround, so it's not a big deal.

Pretty pretty good

Cons
No history on lower pay levels. Also hard to add orders to a route that's already finished. I always have trouble trying to unschedule a route that's already in progress or finished and the driver needs more order.

Great choice for growing companies
We have very busy scheduled and demanding customers. Using routing software has made the job a lot easier and saves us hours of time each week since we no longer live in spreadsheets.
Pros
OptimoRoute is really easy to get started on. The interface makes sense and people on our team were able to figure it out and begin using it very quickly. It has really streamlined our processes and allows us to make changes to our busy routes on the fly. For the cost, it includes a multitude of constraints and optimization/planning tools. It's great that it's able to distribute orders based on truck size and driver skills.
Since the monthly payment is based on the amount of drivers, the software will grow with us and that's exactly what we needed.
Cons
There are a few features that are missing that I hope will be added soon. There is no easy way to set up customer notifications that we've been able to find, though customer notifications are listed as a feature.
Adding the ability for drivers to add a note along with their order status update would be indispensable.
The ability to save multiple depots and create one-way routes between them would make the software more usable for companies like ours who are growing extremely rapidly and have multiple locations.

Well-Designed Flexible Routing System that is a Joy to Use!
The OptimoRoute system is suitable for our small company and will easily expand with our business as we grow. We have been impressed by the system's flexibility with access to a mobile application. The customer service at initial setup was excellent and I haven't needed it since! I am also encouraged that new and valuable features have been added since we began using OptimoRoute, which reflects dedication to continuous improvement in the product.

Ease of use, specifically the ability to copy customer orders/routes as well as upload them using Excel.
Flexibility of routing settings, planning and desktop/mobile application display.
The accompanying mobile application is exceptionally stable and easy to use for our technicians.
Live service schedule with status.
Email notification of arrival feature will be useful for customer communication.
Cons
Wish List -
We need additional custom fields to be able to display multiple services within the mobile application (only 5, could use 10).
Mobile application does not capture actual start time when technician starts the day by logging in On Duty, which could assist in timekeeping and reduce the need for an additional service.
Must log in to send routes to the mobile application daily rather than being able to schedule to send weekly.
Currently there is no customer signature capture through the mobile application.
Would like to see analytics reports with more detail/display choices instead of basic bar graphs and be able to export all reports.

The software can be set up with routes days or weeks ahead of time and can be rearranged as needed. Also allows us to track the teams and know when they are completed and in time

Daily Route Planning
My general comment here is we are very happy with the product, the learning curve has been a little difficult for me personally but Optimo has been there EVERYTIME I needed help and that SPEAKS FOR ITSELF in my opinion.
Pros
EXCELLENT Support! We have some very specific needs for Route Planning (DAILY/WEEKLY) Optimo has handled our needs with some tweaking by their excellent support! We are satisfied with it performance and Driver's ease of use.
Cons
Learning Curve has been a little difficult but the support for it has been excellent even over the weekends! So I can't say enough about how impressed I am with that aspect of their product, even through the Covid crisis the support has been there for us.

Can’t cancel a delivery mid-route. Expensive to send sms to customers. Not always intuitive.

As for canceling mid-delivery, we currently have a feature in beta that has the ability to cancel services and appointments mid-route. However, this does not apply to physical deliveries. This is because the software needs to account for the remaining capacity in the vehicle in the event that new orders need to be planned with that driver after being sent out.

Optimo Review
Overall a good product to conduct simple multi drop optimisation. Limited reporting available and limited ability for anything strategic. As our business had no optimisation capability it has proven to be very valuable especially in these times when costs and efficiency are paramount.
Pros
The software is very easy to implement and use. The mobile tracking element simple and effective and we had no problems with any drivers using it. The optimisation process is very fast which allows the user to create several possible what-if scenarios.
Cons
The location database is difficult to manage as it appeasr to add an entry everytime there is a slight change which leads to multiple entries for each location in the gazetteer. If you accidently copy or delete orders there is no "undo" button which can be disasterous when working to a tight schedule. We are unable to plan strategically as in our case I would need to create a large one-off schedule that would require me to add the number of drivers and add cost. As I only need to add drivers as a one-off this make it not cost effective to pay for a months worth of extra drivers. Operationally this biggest problem is hours worked does not include implant and explant that would apply to any driver. I cannot therefore use the system report to calculate hours as I am unable to add time for vehicle check, refuel debrief etc.

User Friendly
Based on the basics of what I need to accomplish with the program, it works great! I am very happy with it and would recommend it if ever asked
Pros
I like that it is easy to use and routes are created quickly. I like the fact that you can have more than one vehicle routed at a time and that you can export the route to the driver if need be.
I like that you can have more than 21 stops per vehicle without having to create a new route.
I have not utilized the program to its full capacity as of yet.
Cons
That when you add an address and you want to copy and paste it into the name field it it tends to default back to the location section causing you to enter the location twice on the line.
That you actually have to download the trip info to retrieve times etc.
That sometimes it give you wacky driving times and if you reference the two driving destinations with google maps, you get different times. Although, traffic may be the indicator here.. not sure.

Happy customer has saved SO much time with Optimo Route.
We've been using OptimoRoute for 4 years now. It has saved so much time in routing and mapping. The ability to group stops and reorder routes is so helpful. Even simple things like being able to add a substitute driver and switch the route over same day has been a game changer. Speaking of, it makes it easier to hire new delivery drivers since the app makes their job that much easier and more direct.
Pros
OptimoRoute has saved us SOOOOO much time! That's my favorite part but it's also helped by being able to track delivery times and monitor our drivers. The algorithms that plan the routes are great!
Cons
Hmmm hard to think of anything bad. I will say I wish there was a quick shortcut to make last minute changes without having to deactivate/renumber a route.

Love getting quick route responses
I've used support a couple of times with reasonable results. The API documentation was pretty clear and thorough. The front end can be quite overwhelming, and the training/learning curve is a little high, but we built our own UI and just leverage the api at this point.
Pros
I like the it has an API and uses convenient endpoints to be able to quickly route a bunch of stops continually throughout the day.
Cons
That it doesn't allow license changes via the API.

I’ve been using it for 2 years now, and we’ve always been able to plan everything without any issues.
Pros
The overall management is perfect; it just lacks real-time traffic calculation.

The cost per each individual driver; it would be better to have a package with a minimum number of drivers.

OptimoRoute is a great program. I has saved me so much time when creating our delivery routes for our food-prep company. I was spending hours creating routes before finding optimoRoute. After learning the basics I could create route for several of our location fast. We recently moved to shipping in a couple of our locations so we don't utilize it as much as we previously did but continue to use it in our in-person delivery location. It is such a wonderful tool to make our routes simple.

I like how fast and easy it is to use. You upload your customer addresses and routes are created within minutes.
Cons
New addresses can leave you to the wrong house or areas.

Easy to use, flexible, good value for money
We have been very happy with optimoroute it has performed well without any issues in the 4 years or so we've used it.
Users as well as the drivers have been pretty pleased with the ease of administration and the simplicity of the app.
Pros
The user interface is nice, clean and fast, options for routing are pretty flexible, being able to setup a pickup before a delivery has been very useful for us.
The Api is also quite good and simple to use.
Cons
The biggest issue we've had has been a lack of logging, with multiple users changing things around it can be a bit tricky to find out who did what.
Their support is very helpful in these situations but it would be nice with an audit log or similar functionality in the customer frontend.

Optimo 2024 & Forever!

Optimo has the ability to import all our routes directly from our system via excel and avoiding manual input.
Cons
To have the ability to have a scheduling calendar all in one platform. We are an Environmental Lab, and scheduling is big daily task. Other than that, we appreciate the help it's given our lab and field techs.

Best scheduling system!
100/10! I manage a high volume of clients on a daily basis, and coordinating their schedules manually would require an extensive amount of time and effort. Without efficient tools or support, the process would take hours to complete. Lucky, I don't have to!

Easy, beneficial, always improving.
Overall the system has really helped streamline our deliveries and make the best of the drivers time. Having successfully saved on average 1.5 hrs per day in driving time this has been of great benefit.
Pros
Its great for making sure drivers have all the info they need about what they are delivering and the location they are delivering to.
I really appreciate the simplicity of the system and being able to navigate and figure out new(to me) features on my own.
The app has made for easy integration into our daily routines with our driver. Easy to understand and to navigate.
I really appreciate that they are constantly updating the system and adding new features.
Cons
When I need to make changes to the route after I've already sent it to the driver there are restrictions to certain changes, like changing the first scheduled stop on the route. However I can also see why it works the way it does. There is a solution to this which is to deactivate the route sent, my issue with that is I can only deactivate the route of all drivers and not just the one I need to make the change for. That can cause issues for other drivers.
I would also add that having the barcode scanning require packages to be scanned on delivery as "proof of delivery" and it not allowing the driver to complete the service until all boxes are scanned. Ideally including multiples for one order.

A happy customer for 4 years already
I have been a customer for almost 4 years now, and I am still very happy with it and so are my customers, no hassle with manually sending the arrival time, no, it is sent automatically and my customers can easily track the delivery person via the track and trace link.
Pros
We can easily create a delivery route and adjust the delivery time to meet the customer's preferences.
Cons
I'm all good, but it would be great if we could get the review to link to Google. Right now, as a supplier, I can only see reviews in the dashboard.

Love Optimo route
This is the only routing app I'll ever use, Ive tried so many and this has been the clear winner for the many years ive been doing foreclosures

OptimoRoute, a tool that helps simplify work.
Overall, the experience is very good. It is an easy-to-manage platform with multiple tools that simplify day-to-day work, and its API is easy to configure.
Pros
The API is very easy for use, confign users, drivers or plannig routes, with 2 or 3 clics isdt already.
Cons
In our process, we have only one driver, but we manage several dispatch lines. The license fee should be based on actual active drivers, not on the number of drivers created.

Senior Delivery Program
Good experience easy to use. Very few complaints, just want to be able to use the plan route feature for large apartment buildings as well.

It's a fine routing system
The experience has been fine. We use the system for garbage routing and it has done a fine job even though it isn't the intended purpose. It's hard to give it points off for things that I would like change that are tailored to my very specific, rate use case.
Pros
The route upload system offers a robust set of options and controls to allow me to upload large lists easily.
Cons
Some very random quirks with the map will sometimes make manual adjustments necessary and those adjustments aren't always easy.
