Relias Learning uses a straight forward approach in teaching \& doesn't flood your mind with unnecessary knowledge that is most likely instilled in us from birth. I loved being able to renew required certificates, while on the couch with my family in the evenings. The Oregon Adminstrative Rules are constantly updating \& making changes to their regulations \& requirements. When you work with individuals with intellectual disabilities, or anyone part of a vulnerable community .. It's crucial that we are in compliance at all times. Relias Learning is a program that allows you to work at your own pace. Your employer sets the deadlines for completing whatever courses you've been assigned. The website is simple to navigate \& does all the communicating with the employee, in terms of whether or not you met the learning deadlines. Hopefully you are informed in advance about the amount of time you have to meet the requirements. A few of my coworkers over the past few years were temporarily suspended until they completed the modules, re-certified or whatever the case happened to be\!\! > > **Cons**: Its required to watch videos on some of the modules. You aren't allowed to skip any of them without 100% completion of the video. At the end of some lesson you will answer several multiple-choice questions. If you have not paid attention to the video, then you will have no idea how to answer these questions. Some of the instructors speak ridiculously slow \& don't seem to be enjoying the process. There's often no inflection in their voice which can be somewhat annoying \& I have been know to lose interest faster then I should. > > Overall I have been happy with Relias. It's does a great job doing exactly what it's intended to do. My dad use to say "if you aren't learning, you're loitering. Learn something every single day." Relias actually helped me learn a "lot of something's" countless times.
